Last night I changed my spark plugs for the first time since I got the SHO, used Motorcraft SP542's. Happy to see that it was not that difficult (5/10) when compared to my Mazda 6 in which the intake plenum has to be removed.
Sadly I found two broken coil connectors, anyone know if Ford sells these? I want to avoid a trip to the wrecker.
Most of these connectors can be carefully taken apart and the plastic can be replaced without having to cut any wires, hope this is the case.

They do at $26 or so apiece IIRC. Ziptie them, good to go. Or look on mouser.com for suitable replacements.

did the connector itself break or just the red secondary tab?

One has the red tab broken so the gray is still holding it in place, the other one has the gray tab broken so it can slide out with vibration.

Went to the dealer at lunch, parts guy looked it up and said the PN was WPT-931 and that it will cost $ 48 CAD... yikes !
Came back, ran a search and found this:
Capture
So it looked pretty similar but it is black, the one on my car is gray.
That search led me to other sites, and I found the one I'm looking for at Rockauto... how didn't I look here first !
The PN is WPT-1261, alternate PN is CU2Z14S411MA

Only thing I notice from the pics is that the black one has the red safety tab, the gray one apparently doesn't.
I'll order it from Rockauto, documenting this for future reference.

While I was searching, I came across this booklet which I found quite interesting:

I have the same problem as you, and currently have a zip tie in place.

I had a black connector, but found it the 'ears' were in slightly different position.

I'd like to get some grey connectors from the junkyard and play with them to see if I can release the terminal. I stick with the zip tie before cutting the wires. I wonder if they are common on other engines?

Amazon sells terminal release keys for dirt cheap.

So I ended buying this one, found out that the person who posted the link is also the seller.
A bit hesitant since I've never used Bonanza before but everything worked out. Took foreeeeeeever to get to Canada but got it last week.
Added to my "to do" list.

This one comes without wires (wires were not advertised) but it is fine, I never had the intention to cut the harness, I hate doing that.
