Just recently the last two days my sho has been acting weird to say the least lol..

When I press the clutch in the idle will just keeping jumping back and forth from about 1200 rpms to 1500 rpms back to 1200 back to 1500 etc: repeatedly and when I put it in neutral the rpms will jump to about 3000 and just stay there for a while.. Also the car has been gaining speed on it's own, no matter what gear I am in..

Thanks for any help!! I figured I would ask on here first before hand..

lol I found out some of the problem.. The throttle cable is loose or something, not coming all the way back.. But, Ruby I definitely prefer that theory lol... I still have the erratic idle tho up and down up and down lol..

I did check codes, no codes were thrown!! Should I start with the tps? Thank for the help guys!!

usually, the bouncing idle speed is due to a bad iac. I have actually had brand new ones be sticky, so just cause it might be newer does not mean its okay. rarely are there codes for that issue. I would start with the iac.

It couldn't hurt to try to reset your idle. Just unhook the negative battery terminal over night. I had a high idle in park situation out of the blue one day and that fixed it :)
