I cleaned the heck out the intake over the last 2 days. Everything was going fine. Install no prob. then when i start it up the idle is throughthe roof. The problem seems to be something in the TB. wHEN I TURN THE THROTTLE SPRING THING WITH MY FINGERS, IT IDLES DOWN A LITTLE, wHEN I LET GO IT GOES BACK UP AND STAYS HIGH...3000-4000RPM. Any thoughts guys?

half-way there, I think.
Check for vacuum leaks. Did you do anything to the TPS?? Sounds like it maybe out of wack. You can back probe it. You should get .96 to .99 volts with the car in the on position (not running) I don't recall which wires it is. One is a ground, one is 5 volts and the other is the signal return (.96 volts to 5 volts + or - as you open the throttle)

Thanks...i figured it out. I had a rag stuffed into the TB hose from the MAF. The damn thing was holding the butterfly open. Lucky it did not get any further. Whew, I spent an hour messing with this and that and then remembered the rag.

I got an EGR insuficent flow code one day. Took the EGR valve off and found the tip of a rat tail file stuck in the valve. I had used a rat tail file to bend trhe EGR tube and must have broke the tip off. Good thing it was too big to go through.
