identify this ground

these grounds pictured here are pretty loose and the bolt holding them is stripped so i will be drilling and tapping it but, i dont know what it goes to to see whats working or isnt.

Not sure what it goes to but I would just sand down the contact and use a bigger screw.

Probably headlight, turn and parking light ground. They used the frame as a way to save running long ground wires back to the negative post on the battery. I believe you'll find similar grounds on the driver's side of the core support.

Like the poster above (not the smart-alecky one, whose name will go un-mentioned but his initials are Chris Cantrell, the other guy) said, sand the connector and then use a bigger screw to mount it back in the same spot.

drill out only the bracket
dont tap anything
run bigger self tapper into the whole gig

you cant tap sheetmetal, you can only jam course threaded screws into undersized holes

Yeah mine was nasty so I buzzed it down to bare metal then repainted it, painted it black and it looks so much better than rust.
