How do you identify if you have a vaps rack while it is still in the car?

when i looked to the passanger side of the break booster the ps rack had 2 plugs. is it vaps or standard?

Ill see if I can find a pic for you. If I remember correctly, the VAPS rack has a 4 wire connection from the top of the pinion gear shaft. If you unplug it, the rack will default to super easy mode, which I kinda like. What year is your wagon?

94 but i cominly refer it as the part bin car. what ever ford had in the parts bin they throw on it. like i have 93 rear vented disks.
Then i also have r-134 ac

94 was the first year for R134a, and 93 had solid rear disks (at least on my wagon). Sounds like Ford isnt soo bad (yeah right). How many HGs have you been through with the engine?

well that is a long story the only 1 went at about 49k but ford did not believe that the head gasket was blown so they just replaced all the hoses. well is still kept leaking. after about 5 times to the dealership my dad said FU(K this and ran the motor into the ground. so at about 80K when my dad finaly took the car back it was on a flatbed. he totaly ****** the engine. the guy at the counter said that it was not rebuildable and it was going to cost like 5K. hehehehehe. the computer did not show that we had the 100k warrenty. my dad pulled out the copy of the signed papers and and got a brand new motor. what do you think the dealership was trying to do at 49K?

The dearship didn't have any used cars for the free rental. so they had to give him a new car. After 3 months waiting for the new motor the car was returned with 10K on it. good luck trying to sell that thing new.

what is vaps, is it for sterring or breaks? I never asked before...

varabile assistance power stearing (VAPS) is it nice. when u are going slow their is more assist (like when parking) but at high way speeds the assist is reduced.
