My digital clock has never displayed time correctly. The read out is a little beat up.....

Any ideas for replacement?

I would not mind having an analog clock like my BMW has...but I know the BMW clock would not fit because of the + and - buttons.

An XM radio Roady XT fits great in that spot. Remove the dash and run the wires behind.

Ummm......I'm not sure what Roady XT you have but mine is a little big for that spot. :oogle:

Besides, after I upgraded head units I didn't have to have my FM transmiter idock in the ash tray. My ipod now interfaces through the head unit, and the ipod is stashed away in the glove box.

My Roady XT lives in the ash trey now....:naughty:

Don't mean to hijack but is that CD player works with the sub JBL system plug and play style? (it would free up a space....damn cassettes.)

And what the **** is the 2nd player? looks like its some card reader....

Is the switch to a gen 2 clock hard? looks like I would need to do some minor fabrication work.

I have the same unit. The mount for the XT sticks it out from the dash, mines a GEN2 that has a less squared off edge than your dash. I like having it nice and high so I can change channels and view the artist, whatever, without having to look down to the ashtray.

Yes, the AM/FM CD player is plug and play. It will work with any slave devices with minor cable modifications. PM me for details. The unit below is a Ford Minidisc player.

It takes some fab work for it to fit. I had some metal plates laser cut to fit the clock and the opening and then epoxied the clock and the plate in place. You have to to a little trimming work on the clock to get it to fit flush. You will also have to wire in the correct plug for the 2nd gen clock (93-95 to be specific), but that is only a minor job. I think I still have the CAD file for the plate if anyone wants it.
