Lately I've been regressing and obsessing over 2nd gens.
One thing that always bugged me about the Taurus was how far the bumper sticks out. I also like the way the SLO corners look on the SHO, which is why I used this picture as a reference.

I think the bumper cover could be modified to achieve this look, but I do wonder about the bumper itself. The Gen 1 cars appear to have less bumper protrusion on them. Is this true, or is it just an optical illusion caused by the car being more boxy? If it is true, is the gen 1 bumper compatible with the gen 2? If not, any ideas on how to retrofit another bumper?
One more thing I should add. This is where I got the idea from.


It almost looks like he removed the entire bumper and just put on the cover.
