I posted a few weeks ago regarding my intake manifold. I took it apart for cleaning and when it was back together, my engine has been running hot and idling at nearly 3000 RPM. I took the manifold off and replaced all the gaskets and then carefully resealed everything. My radiator, including the hoses are all new (less than 100 miles). Today I started it for the first time in about two weeks. It idled normal for a few minutes and then went back up to 2800 or so. The computer code I received pointed toward the IAC Valve. I am wondering if I NEED a new one, or if cleaning it will work. If I need a new one, does anyone have an extra laying around??? I don't particularly want to pay $200 for a new one. Thanks,

Deven

Exactly what code did you find? Let us help by using our experience. Don't filter the information. It could be a vacuum leak or other problem, but it is very hard to guess. You already have some information that could help. Please tell us what it is.

Just want to thank everyone for your help!!!!! Sorry I didn't give more details in the thread. I ended up giving the details through private messages. Turns out the IAC was not connected properly or those connections were dirty. Everything is now working PERFECT!! Thanks a million!!!!!
