Grrr....its been 2 days now and havent gotten it back together...first the ball joint itself wouldnt come out- than the control arm bolt that connects it to the chassis wont come out(still havent gotten it out-finally cut one end and about to cut the other end in a few hours) and than the axle came out of the tranny - so basically i have bought over 100 bux for tools and now takeing a day off work cuz i had no ride...thats another 100 bux and plus the part itslef was 60 bux...so i think i will enjoy going to the mechanic and have him do it for maybe 100 bux more than what i paid and ill have so much more time to spend doing other things.... I have heard ball joints rnt to hard...i think my problem was rust- if it wasnt for that than i would have been ok... i cant wait till its over and all back together- this really sux..if neone of u have advice for me im still in the process of doing it so info still can help...im going out to the store and buying a torch to cut the bolt...wish me luck...

If you pulled the axle out of the tranny you will need to replace the circlip. HOPEfully you didn't pull the cv joint appart.

Ya He's right.... We need an "I'm with smartguy" smiley that points up. :D I told Brandon last night when he was talking to you that you would have to replace the snap ring. I hope you did that. We didn't on the Honda when we did our engine transplant and we found out the hard way when the halfshaft wouldn't fully snap in. Give it to Mike.

Yea i know dude- it sux... i rather trace a wire that has been shorted out tha do my ball joints with rust...cuz i luv electrical...nehow its done and out of my mind finally..but my wallet sure felt it- i was going out every other hour to buy another tool cuz i thought it would help... bought a cutting torch(didnt help to much due to the bushing always catching on FIRE) next was the grinder(sho91mtx suggested this- a grinder the bad thing is- it worked great until the joint was in its way and wouldnt cut the bolt nemore due to its only a 4 in grinder***note the 4 1/2 woouldnt work either cuz i bought a 4 1/2 blade for the grinder and that was little longer but not much and still wouldnt cut it) when i finally got the control arm off it took a whole 15 min to put back together- amazing...reason so fast my buddy had ot go to work so i said dude i need ot get this done before u leave so we both said lets go and do this fast...talk about team work lol... enough of my boring story- for future with doing ball joints... if u expect it to be odne in a day- leave 2-3 days for it..cuz ull never know what will happen(especially with a sho u start tearing stuff off u start seeing other bad stuff...
