I need a very important Bolt...!!!!

Today I was installing a shorty shifter on my car and I realized the bolt that holds the stabilizer bar to the tranny is stripped to ****!!! It doesn't tighten very well.... where can I get this bolt??

the bolt is made of steel, and the case is aluminum. Are you sure the bolt is the problem? You should make sure that the threads in the transaxle case are in good shape. If they are, just go match the bolt to a new one at the hardware store, it is nothing too special.

Could you use a longer bolt with a locknut?

So it's that simple??? How do you determine the thread size of the bolt??

if youre talking about the bolt for the shifter boss its an M12x1.75

Yes!! The shifter boss bolt. thanks for the info. I will look for one at the hardware store. Unless some one has one in good codition laying around somewhere.

Cheaper to get at the hardware store...like 15 to 20 cents at highest...
