yup that's right, it sounds like someone took rice crispies and injected it into the wires somewhere and just let em rip. heh, that's my midnight humor 
anyways, i have a feeling my amp is going bad but i'm hoping it's just a lose wire. i first noticed all the pops, cracks, etc a few months ago, for about half a day then it stopped and i was again. But, today they started again and continued throughout the rest of the day. After some listening and diagnostic i have a feeling it's the amp. even if i turn the volume down all the way cracks and pops still make their way through to the speakers so i'm thinking it is after the deck unless it's a lose wire from the deck to the amp. the stereo is premium stock. any help would be much appreciated.
