Hi All:

I have not posted here for a very long time as my journey with my 2010 SHO has been totally uneventful for several years.

I leased the car in November 2009 for 39 months and the lease was up next month.

The residual value was $20,700 and the price for the five 2010 SHO vehicles I found for sale locally was in the $28/29,000 range without the performance package and the Navigation System etc. I need another car and for $20,700, I was basically looking at a range of econobox cars with no motor and no frills so it was a bit of a no brainer. Sooo, I purchased it today.

The car has 19,600 miles on it, the tires have been spun maybe a half dozen times just after I bought it (those very expensive Goodyears have about 10k miles left according to the technician at the Ford Store where I got my 20K service today).

At age 72, this is my last dance as regards automobiles. Those of you who have followed my earlier posts some years ago may remember my 97 Taurus SHO, my tuned 99 Lightning and my tuned 2002 Blackwood.

As my decision has been made and this car will be my last, I still have the **** to do the performance thingie one more time.

I have been totally out of the loop for a while, but I am looking for the current best solution for a tune and a CAI setup. As I am totally a failure in doing this stuff myself based on the latest technology, I need to find a tuner/installer/whatever in the Atlanta GA area that can perform the deed.

Any suggestions from the group would be most welcome, and btw, I am thinking of the Livernois solution for the tune.

Sometimes, it just doesn't pay to grow up.

Guess Ford messed up guessing what the SHO should be worth after 39 months...by about 8 grand. I do have a question about that...if you wanted to turn the car back over to the dealer, would you have equity in the lease?
As far as tuning, yea, I'd do the Livernois tune. I put the AIRAID CAI in myself, it was a snap.

Ill 2nd Livernois tune, great customer service to help you with installing tune. Plus many members on the forum here to give you how to as well. The Airaid CAI is very simple to install, but if wrenching isn't your thing I would think you could find a local mechanic to do only takes about 20mins to install.

Torrie @ Unleashed Tuning also does great tuning. He's located in At. Augustine.
He is usually running some sort of special.

If you are interested in an AirAid CAI, I have one I used for 2 days and about 40 mi.
PM me if you are interested. It's sitting in my garage ready to ship. They look great, but for what I was doing, my custom one suited me better.

The most difficult problem installing AirAid, is removing the stock box, and that's a piece of cake. Once out, the AirAid pretty much just snaps into the same area.

And don't think you are old... You are only as old as you feel! And I'm also on medicare! I plan on owning several more toys in the next few years. My issue is that I like the three I have so much I don't want to part with them. EB Flex will likely be the first to be replaced, but only because it already has 51,000 mi on it. Most over achieving vehicle I have ever owned.
