I have been searching and reading a ton of post on the hypertech (power module) chips.....seems to have mixed emotions among the forum....anyone with a GEN2 have an example of good or bad?

Hypertech chips = no good but Hypertech also makes a power programmer which plugs into the OBD port for other vehicles (Hemi' etc ..) that you can change paramters and have 4 different performance settings.

thanks guys....just thinking that maybe it would open my secondaries up sooner and move my rev limiter so I never have to worry about red-lining! thanks fellas!

i see nothing for my 94?
I have a Hypertech programmer for my truck and it has made a considerable difference in performance. I did contact Hypertech a while ago asking if they had a unit for my 93 and they do. If I get enough extra cash this summer I plan on buying and if not satisfied will return it.

Makes a slight difference in my 92mtx.When its out I can tell running through the rpms, everyone seems to have their own opinion, if you dont have any other mods I wouldnt bother yet.A nice catless y and cai and exhaust and the chip its a good recipe if you ask me.And mine came out of my 89 mtx and its been over a year and not a prob as of now.Maint is first and foremost then the mods.Just my o2.

I have some time please share.
I have one too that I pulled off an ECU at the JY. When I first got it I put it in just for fun. It increased my rev limiter and felt faster, but I had no clue what it was programmed for, so I pulled it out.

I have one that I found in my 89. I installed in on the 94 and did a few test runs and recorded a video for it. There was definitely a difference. More tq below 3000rpms, and going through 6-7krpm was cut down by almost a full second. It also removed my rev limiter and my secondaries open up a little bit sooner (3200ish rpms)

My car was healthy, though. And your car could've probably been a LOT faster if we'd been as good with the TwEECer then as we are now.
I don't know if you remember, but the sucker felt much faster (>5k RPM) than it was.
