Humming noise, only when turning left?

Afternoon everyone, I did a search and wasnt able to find a definitive answer so here i am.

My car has lately been making a pretty loud and ominous humming noise, but only when i turn left and it seems to be coming from the front left tire. Sometimes it can be avoided by not turning so sharply, and it seems to get louder when you hit a bump or something to put extra pressure on the suspension on that side.

Any ideas as to the cause would be great, thanks.

Sounds like a bad wheel bearing to me. But jack up the car and check for play in the wheel.

Wheel bearing, aye. Ill check as soon as I get the chance.

May also be just a normal power steering noise. Mines got pretty noisy over the past few months. But i agree with the above wheel bearing comment as a good place to start.
