I looking for any real world hp gains or 1/4 mile gains to justify the price for the pump?? Also do you have to change the line every time you disconnect the pump to go back to stock for n.y. inspection?? Thanks..

I hear when you go back to stock cel comes on..
Why would you go back to stock? Do they do a OB2 scan? If there are no CELS and everything is okay, why would they even think to check the HPFP? Are they literally going to take the cover off, and then take the foam protector off?

I have heard those new defoulers with cat material in them work well. The rear O2s turned off because of the DPs would be the reason you fail with a tune not the HPFP.

This thread went in a completely opposite direction than the title... I would still like that info.

The pump is worth the investment for piece of mind and to run a e30 blend from your tuner.. I did have a hard time
passing N.Y. state emissions with the dp's and your tuner has to make a stock tune with hpfp to run.. This is the first
time i didn't have to change out the dp's by using the mini cat bungs.. I was actually going to purchase ppe pipes
for that reason.. So to all that are on the fence and want the car to perform at its best i would suggest the pump..
I was looking to join the 11 sec club this year but fell a little short.. Couple more bolt on's it should be there..
Have a nice holiday season and a short winter!!

So to answer the original question, my car with the below modifications made 430/450 before hpfp and just shy of 470/500 after.

Haven't been to the track since installing it but went from 12.4 to 12.2 with it on dragy. I have a 1.98 60' on the street though, so on the track should be 11s easy.

So I believe that would happen only if you were fuel pressure limited. I presume the ECM saw the low pressure and limited boost to match it. If the engine were not fuel pressure limited, the new HPFP wouldn't help.

So before buying, it would be wise compare the commanded fuel pressure against the actual fuel pressure. If they match, the HPFP is doing it's job.

Every log with us has both commanded and actual fuel pressure. Adding the XDI35 allowed for more boost without exceeding the fuel demand and kept fuel pressure stable during boost spikes on shifts.
