I'm on a GH tune, GH intercooler, PPE called DP, etc and not going meth or E fuel. Is there any reason to upgrade the fuel pump?

It truly depends on your goals.

I have a full bolt on SHO and I run a pretty hot E30 tune on the stock HPFP. Fuel pressure is at acceptable levels for my set up.

Yes the upgraded HPFP is a good investment, is it truly needed? No. If it was no tuner would offer an E30 tune with the stock HPFP and deem it safe.

No meth or E30 so then I assume it's not needed for any performance gains or safety reasons.

The only tune that "needs" it for just a base tune is LMS, and even with them my car was fine until I added downpipes.

Not really correct. Huge gains to be had with an upgraded hpfp over the stock one in any fuel option. Stock one in mild temperatures is maxed out at 15 psi while an upgraded hpfp can support well over 18psi (basically stock limit for stock turbos) so while you don't gain any timing advantages because timing the same specific fuels you can run much more boost especially with the upgraded intercooler in the mix

I literally just posted this on another thread....

Matt's Reply to me:
"I really hate doing e30 tunes on stock pumps because you have to be extremely sure on your mix at all times. installing a sensor would be the minimum I’d do if it were me. The AO and e30 tunes will be different files. The issue is fuel pressure… I don’t feel comfortable… look at your fuel pressure on shift boost spikes and let me know what you think. The volume of the stock pump isn’t enough to push much harder than I do already with your AO."

Bit the bullet. XDI 35 with FedEx and GH sending revised tune. Matt said he can get some more power out of my '18 on regular fuel.

Expensive upgrade but there is also some piece of mind going into the colder months.

Rationalized that I might as well go for it in case I lose my mind and wallet and order upgraded turbos.

This car feels much more powerful now. No dyno, no track results just seat of the pants harder pulling all the way through now. Maybe placebo but I don't think so. Matt said 20 hp on gas but it feels more than that. Way to go Matt!

It feels more so it's either a placebo or everything is just operating better with all the other parts e.g. PPE DP etc
