Do you mean the main bearings between the main caps and the crankshaft?

Step 1 Drink a case of your favorite beer.
Step 2 Stop kicking puppies or whatever you did to deserve this
Step 3 Remove motor and put on an engine stand.
Step 4 Remove Oil Pan.
Step 5 Remove engine damper pulley - crank sprocket etc... blah blah blah
Step 6 Remove crank bearing caps.
Step 7 Remove crank - and bearings off of crank
Step 8 Remove other half of bearings in block

I know I left out the part about removing the trans and the rear main seal and all that - just wanted to give the beef of the info here. - It is better to remove the motor and put it on a stand rather than try it in the car. Good luck to you.

He means the bearings that are pressed onto the mainshaft inside the MTX-IV.

The answer to which I don't know, sorry.

How do you remove the bearings on the mainshaft?

If you are talking about the MTX4 main shaft bearings, you need a bearing puller and press.

I have 2 questions for you:

#1 Why are you replacing the bearings?
#2 Have you found replacement bearings?

According to Josh , the only one that you cant have is the pressed one on the output shaft. Lucky me , thats the one that failed in my spare tranny. You can buy the cup , but not the actual bearing.
