how to reattach seat covers?

Hey, those stupid hog rings or whatever are impossible to get back on. I know there's a tool to do this (saw it on how it's made! lol) but I don't know what it's called and I don't know where to get one. I don't think they're called hog rings but somebody's gotta know how to do this.

I'm talking about the leather part of the seats that attaches to the foam.

Its called a hogring gun or tool. I used to assemble seats for the ford focus and lincoln town car and we have air driven hogring guns. There are hogring pliers that you can buy to do the job.

Hog-ring pliers are what you need.

Those are similar to what I use when I am not using my pneumatic ringer. Any trim supply shop should have some for cheap.

The farm supply store will likely have them for less money, and will also have the new rings, which make it a lot easier to get them pinched.

Yeah... very few of the old rings are in reuseable shape. We were not kind when removing them.

I had the correct tool when I did it, however, I think I used needle nose pliers as I found it easier.

I cannot possibly imagine that needle-nose pliers would make installing those any easier. Removing them, yeah. We used a set of needle-nose and some dyk... I mean, er, diagonal-cut pliers.

Also, vince vaughn sucks.
