Any suggestions on how to prevent blowing the differential pin OTHER THAN

-No Burnouts
-Get a Quaife
-Don't Chirp Gears

...or are those the main contributing factors in throwing a pin? (my 92' MTX was victim to a blown diff)

I reinforced mine a couple years back, if I recall. I've spun the tires everytime I drive the car and I drive like a bat out of **** because it's not my daily driver! :naughty: Before that, and when it was my daily driver, I went through 4 or 5 transmissions in 1.5 years, not fun. It's reliable now. :thumb:

What you mention about no burnouts and no gear chirping are good rules to follow if you're not willing to or can't spend the bucks to buy a quaife or have your stock diff reinforced. However they are not guarantees that you won't blow your diff. I've known people who were very gentle with their cars who simply put the car into reverse to back out of their driveways and they blew. It's luck of the draw and when a roll pin breaks you'll be on very borrowed time....as in seconds, minutes or hours if you're lucky.

I can reinforce your diff for a very reasonable cost. PM me if you're interested.
