Hello all, I was wondering if anyone had any tips on cleaning the interior carpet as well as the trunk liner? Any special products that you may swear by? TIA, Adam.

Rent a steamer from a stanley steamer or something of that sort. Best way to clean the carpets to look like new.

Woolite spray carpet cleaner (in blue can) from supermarket houshold aisle works great. Removes all sort of stains, etc. and doesn't soak the carpet. Just spray it on, rub in with sponge, let dry and vacuum.

Windex.... yes, you heard me, the blue stuff used to clean glass will get most any stain out of automotive carpets and cloth seating. Don't use this to clean all of the carpet, just the toughest spots....

I had an 88 taurus GL and it was like someone tried to drink coffee out of a bowl while offroading everyday everwhere on the car. used a whole bottle of the stuf and it was amost kile new.

The absolute best way is to take the carpet out and take it to a car wash. It takes forever to dry but it will look and smell new. It's great if the carpet has a musty smell to it. Take a stiff brush with you to scrub the extra nasty spots.
