hmmm, maybe you should check how tight the hinge is or take it off and remount it. maybe the door is not flush. you brought up a good question though. i love it when a door shuts nice and tight like it should....

Electrical tape wrapped around the "catch", attatched to the body. Just wrap some tape around in layers. Start with one, close, two, etc... It has lasted for a year...Not permanent, but takes about 1min per door!! This is not perfect, but the door will loose some of the "play", and sound a little more solid.

How do you know these doors didn't shut like this when new? :D My doors on both my cars are only loud if someone closes them hard enough. These doors seem to be heavier than most cars, my friend who has a silver '94 SHO, used to get so mad when someone would slam his door, but hey they aren't used to how heavy our doors are I guess.

I never thought the SHO's doors were heavy. Go try a T-Bird. Those are some heavy doors.

haha no crap my 84 mustang has some SERIOUS doors. and those shut like a 1984 car, horribly loud but who cared it was my first car. i'm gona check the alignment thats one thing i didn't think about becuase they look ok. i was thinking it was the latch in the door that is making all the noise. if i play with it, i can get it to latch and its LOUD! shrug got me. i just want my sho to feel new again :D
