How to do a tranny rebuid??

I would like to rebuild my tranny. So gien that where would get the parts for it and how do I know what to look for. First of all is it cheaper to rebuild or by another one used that's in good shape?

Depends on what kind of tranny you are asking about. If you're talking about MTX trannies there is a great how-to video from Josh T. @ SHONutPerformance if you're considering do the rebuild yourself.

Like masho said, it depends on what you want to do. Get the video from Josh and while you're on his website check out the parts lists he's got on there. Things you'll want to do at bare minimum are blocking rings and seals. You might also consider the synchronizers depending on your budget.
