How to de-code the casting #'s on trannies??

Does anybody know how to tell the difference between the SHO MTX and the MTX they put in the Tempo? I hear they use the same case with different internals for each application. I'm hoping that you can tell by the casting numbers because the little tag on my SHO MTX has been wiped clean with a pressure washer.

Might there be transmission geek site on the WEB? Thanks for any input.

i noticed with my ATX that the cases are different.
i could no even bolt up a SLO trans to the 3.2 i had to grind a pieace out for it to fall on the dowles. I put a SLO case in it so i could push it around at work ya i did not put a SLO trans in the sho just a empty case
