Came across this one up in Westchester over the summer; found out that it's still there. I spoke to the shopowner, and he said that the engine knocks loudly. He said he'd let it go for less than a grand, and could probably be talked down further.

Is it worth it, or should I move on to greener pastures?

If your serious about it, I know of a 97 with 80K miles that has some minor front end damage that you could pull the motor from, and could probably be had for the same amount of money.

I paid $900 for a 1997 SF with 95,000 on the clock, in real good shape inside and out. The only way it makes sense for me is I will be doing ALL the work myself. And I have been shopping for parts for several months. E-Bay and Midnight Auto can be your friend.

I've bought 3 of them now - $700.00 each. I see them as low as $500.00, as high as $1200.00 in my neck of the woods. Color and year matter. 96 is a definite plus. Black or red is a minus, IMO.

500 bucks

Thats what its worth. 3500 bucks out the door from Kirk, then any other little issues the car has.

I had a black 99 I bought for 500 that was sitting there waiting to be towed to Spencer. Wasnt worth it to me. I like the G3's just never got attatched to them.

i understand this car was cam failed but why does a nice car always have to go for really cheap when its only because its older witch they dont look old its just the year.. cuz imo these cars are worth a good penny when clean and maintained well... atleast 5-6,000$ imo...
