i met a guy that would sell me the 2 rear stock springs out of his 90 SHO for $75. Is this a good deal? My springs are so bad on the rear that the tire is partially hidden by the fender lip. Front ones are fine though. How much should i offer this guy?
Thanks in advance.

One thing you probably need to ask is: are these spings the originals from 1990 that were installed when the car was manufactured, or have they been replaced over the years? If they are the originals from 1990, I can't imagine the springs being any better than what you've got on your 89. I mean are we talking about springs that are over 10 years old? The springs on my 95 were pretty shot around 60-70k miles. The car was a mere 5 years old. What kind of mileage do your friend's springs have on them? How does he drive the car (over rough roads, gently, aggressively)? These are the questions you need to ask when buying used springs.
