Okay we just bought a set of the 0r52s that are on sale. i bought a set of 18 x7 with a 225 40 18 tire the overall height of tire and rim is the same as my origanil baskets with oem tires . How much has other shos been lowered without causing problems? in the front it sits about 3 or 4 inches formm tire, the rear looks about 1 or 2. I would like to get as low as possible but not cause car to bottom out. i would like it as stiff as possible also..
if you have lowered yours how much and what means.i am looking at replacing the springs but not spending big bucks. intrax and eibach both look around 2-250. i have heard about the moog hd and napa but what is recomended by the majority?

a search will answer pretty much all of your questions. intrax/tokikos seem to be the best for performance, i have shoshop linears (no longer available).

A little of my rear tires are tucked into the fender. The fronts are now lower than an Eibach or Intrax equipped car. I've got 225-50 tires on stock slicers. I would not go any lower. As it is, I have to pick and choose a racing line down the highway to avoid bumps.

Easy answer for you. Run a ground Control kit over a set of Koni inserts. Then order a set of springs as stiff as you like. I would expect to need to roll the rear fenders of a Gen I when using wider wheels like you have chosen.

lol! yes my car has springs that were chopped a bit by a previous owner... could be cargocoils... but my car is about an inch lower up front... stock rear sag equals it all out.

need to drive on 2x4's to get a jack under. they stay in the trunk... make sure you got some 4 ft 2x4s if your car ever needs to be flatbedded!

oh and i need to go up steeper drive ways angled... like it better that way anyway!
