Driving my 89 SHO today, got up to a blistering 50 degrees today, but I noticed that the needle was right at the center of the gauge. I know that factory gauges are notorious for being innacurate, but this seemed just a tad high for me. I think the electric fan may have kicked on once, but not positive.

Anyone know if this is normal, that the gauge should be there or if it should be lower. It gets over 100 here in the summer time and if I have a problem, I want to get it sorted immediately.

TIA

Take a look at this. I was having the same problem. Take a look at your sensors first. Then check your grounds. Have someone run the Ford EEC-IV puter check for actual temp read by the sensors. Good thing about the SHO is it uses two temp sensors!
