Just wondering what the steps are to change a flywheel, this guy that lives near me has an '89 SHO that he is willing to trade my psp and 200 bucks for. It needs body work, which isnt a big problem with me, the more it looks like a sleeper the better, lol. The only mechanical problem is that it needs a flywheel, unless you want to roll start it everytime. Any help is appreciated, I posted pics a while back, ill re-post them so you get an idea of what the car looks like. I'm thinking about it because I NEVER play the damn PSP, big waste of $320 (with game). So heres the pics:

I just think back to when Huntervf got his 400 dollar SHO and made it look like a brand new car..

Honestly, I'd keep the PSP and I don't play very many games either.

Changing the flywheel is extremely easy.... Once you have the transmission out of the way.

I'd still keep the PSP, it will cost less and won't give you as much stress.

wait a sec, this the the same sho that someone was going to trade a quad for. Needs a flywheel? How on earth does one diagnose the problem as a flywheel? I can only assume that the ring gear is tore up badly, but can one say that for sure without checking the starter gear or bendex condition? for 520 bucks this sho is still in pretty rough shape. When was the last time it was actually running?

yeah I too think thats a little steep going by the looks of the pic. I picked up a 91 for 500 w/ tokicos and new tires in running condition and descent shape w/ no rust. I know the rust thing is ineviteble being in michigan but id still hold out for a better deal. youll have 500 in it right off and whatever it takes to make it roadworthy....that could cost a little or alot... probably alot. Maybe offer the cash or the psp not both. Good luck!

I recently sold a white plus than ran good for less than that. With mods. Better interior too.

I would tell him 150-200 bucks.

From the pics I think it needs a LOT more than a flywheel. I'd count on spending a few grand getting that thing decent.

Yes this was me, I just think my ATV is worth more, I actually use it and I have fun in the snow with it (RWD). I just never use my PSP, so I'll ask him either or, thanks for the input guys. :salute:

Keep in mind there are alot of deals out there that put you into better looking rides than that car. No offence, but you are definitely getting a sows ear on this deal. If I were in Michigan and looking for a SHO, there is one White plus that you could get for a very affordable price considering what mods it has. WHen all is said and done, your black sho will be a polished turd with no mods and you will have about the same amount of money into it as the purchase price of Beth's ride.
