Speeding is bad.

But if you must know, you can peg a gen III with an aftermarket chip. Otherwise you will only go 144-146.

I posted a thread about this awhile back. Do a shearch for "Fastest You've Ever Been" I think that's what I titled it anyways.

Aside from that, I've done 140.

i took my 95 up to about 130 on a not-so-smooth section of I-275 late one nite. Scary-as-****. Seemed to run out of steam around there, but like i said, overpasses and road expansion joints made that the shortest top speed run ever. :bonk:

I personally think my mothers 98 feels much more buttoned down at speed, altho i've never driven hers that fast.

but yes, speeding is bad.

drag racing as well

that can get you into a lot of trouble with the wayne county sheriffs :snicker:

I got mine up to 135-140 on I-75 here (didnt dare look long enough at the speedo at those speeds) when following two crotch rockets. But speeding is bad as seen represented by me having to ditch a cop that attempted to pull us over.
Thank you to semi's and quick off ramps.

and the car felt amazing at those speeds

I must be honest. I have never taken mine over 75-80. Anyone who knows anything about Virginia knows what I'm talking about.

Did a 135 at 2 a.m. on 495 coming off the Rt 3 exit onto 495 in Chelmford, MA. I had my excuse all ready in case I got pulled over. I had no excuse except there was nobody on the road and it felt fantastic! I do quite a bit of highway driving and sometimes look down at the speedo to find I am doing 100. Feels like 80.

Know all about Virginia. My mom lives there and I take the kids down to visit every year. I have 3 speeding tickets from Virginia. I now behave when driving through.

Yup, I know exactly what you are talking about. :bonk:

I have been to 135, racing a lightly modded 5.0. I won.

I took delivery in of my 1990 Sho early that year. During that Summer I ran it up to 135 on a two lane country highway in Northern California. About dusk and then I realized the dear would probably be running around. Trees were very close to the edgo of the road and my wife was having trouble focusing when she looked to the side. Car was very flexible and NEVER tried those speed again. Put the subframe connectors, Eibachs, Tokikos Etc on this year. Think I'll now try again as car sticks to road much better!

Been to 140. I'm sure it would have hit 145 and maybe 150 if I didn't have stock chip.

Though I regularly drive 10 to 15 over the speed limit, whatever is the local level that will be ignored without getting a ticket, and in passing situations might get to well over that to do a safe, quick pass, the idea of driving at 100+ mph kind of speeds on a public road is a problem. There is nothing wrong with driving our cars fast, but at these kind of speeds, you really should be on a closed track some where. Otherwise you are being outright dangerous, and hopefully will get caught and seriously fined. Time to close this thread, I think.
