:thankyou: Since the subject came up I just wanted to make sure. :woo-hoo:

I mean, WHAT, I'm NOT #1, unbelievable. That's it, I'm out! :laugh_ti: J/K! , J/K ! Never thought their was a chance for #1, figure their needs to be a bribe or something for that. Did anyone even have #1 on their car last year? Can't remember seeing it. Was just hoping for a single digit, a little easier to get centered straight on the windshield.

Maybe just a little too slow on the email/PayPal typing finger there, Duwayne!!

If the email registration process and paypal could be done at the same time/linked together in 1 process like checkout and pp payments are on Ebay now and some other sites instead of thru 2 seperate processes then I might have made it?

Christina C. had asked to be #1 in Seattle during the banquet in K-Zoo, which Don agreed to, but since she was unable to attend the convention in Seattle due to illness, there ended up being no #1.

I agree. This is the first year that Don has accepted PayPal. It's not too hard to integrate PayPal payments into a site, so I imagine with enough effort they can probably streamline the process for future conventions.

This is the first time that Don has offered PayPal. In the past, he would not hit credit cards or cash checks until about June when the Convention was a definite "Go". In fact, that drove me a little nuts with the outstanding check, as I sometimes run the checking account a little low, and I don't like surprises when a check finally clears, so I had been doing the credit card route the last few years. This year I had the cash when I applied, so I went with PayPal.

For the relatively small number of folks registering over a 2-7 month period, I'm sure the current system works just fine for Don.

I know it's the 1st time for pp. No idea how that works, but I wouldn't have thought it was easy to integrate and I'm not knocking the system, just sayin' that it would have made me quicker. :type: not that I needed to be. I would think it's just fine the way it is also, probably no need to change unless he felt like it?

It was actually auctioned off, wasn't it? I remembered something about that after I made that post, but don't remember ever hearing anything during Seattle about what happened to the # or who had it.

Not that I recall.

I think it was more of a matter of Christina jumping up and down waving her arms asking to be #1 when Don announced that after 2+ years of planning Seattle that it was definitely going to happen. :nut:

While in Seattle a number of us were wondering what had happened to her and I think it was Kurt G. who finally was able to get in touch with her the night of the banquet. In fact, I think Don made a point to announce that #1 would go to whomever registered first this year instead of assigning it in advance. Of course Don and Ken do try to accommodate requests for specific numbers when they can (like Kirk always getting #88).

Maybe not, I just know for sure there was something about it during the banquet. The jumping up and down, waving thing kinda sounds familiar, maybe there was a bit of talk after that about auctioning in the future?

Not over 30lbs, I already tried that.... I'm having a terrible time finding coverage for this event as well as Carslisle in the pet sitter dept... My girls don't do the boarding thing...

I do believe there is place within 5 minutes of the hotel that boards dogs. I'll find out if I'm right and the cost per day or per week for the service...

Hey Chris, am I on the list? I sent my registration to registration at shoclub dot com like it said on the form. I haven't heard back from Don.

I'll resend it tomorrow.

That's a negative. AFAIK nobody who registered using the email address on the form has gotten through.

Saw your message on the list. Don emails us daily updates of registrants so as soon as your name pops up on the list I'll let you know.

You coming down for the Auto-X and a y-pipe next weekend?

Mine was emailed and you said I'm on the list, so it must have got thru. The only one?

If the addy in Ian's post is what he or others sent to as spelled? Could be reason not rec'vd? Their is an "s" missing on the end of registration. Maybe just missed it in the post?

That's where mine went too, I believe the 11th or 12th sometime in the evening and asked for a reply to confirm it just to make sure it worked okay since it was new and 1st time I tried doing that type of thing via email, but never heard back. Was pretty sure all was good and wasn't worried about it yet, but now thanks to Chris :hail: for bringing this thread up I now have my confirmation and we found out somewhat early on that some others apparently didn't get through.

I used the proper email address. If one were to enter an incorrect address, it would bounce back as undeliverable anyway. I am wondering if the SPAM filter is blocking messages based on attachment size. I had 2 PDFs attached

Which weekend is that Auto-X? I thought it was the end of May? And by next weekend I hope you don't mean Mother's Day weekend?
