Randall's right. Just a couple years ago there were close to 40(?) cars turned out for one breakfast in Walpole - more than at any other SHO event I've ever been to...

Now, sadly, most all of those enthusiasts have indeed moved along. Was fun while it lasted though, the long-awaited New England convention just missed the perfect wave by a couple strokes. Simply a matter of timing, not any one person failing to deliver...

Thats what I was thinking. And nevermind the 40 that showed up, there was at least 10 more from the Providence area, and Im sure alot more from mass who didnt make it that day. Fred H, Brian, and a handful of others. And then consider all the grudges and the burnt bridges between some of us in the NE, alot of people just dissapeared.

Out of the 60 or so at the time, Id guess less than 10 of those people still own a SHO. Including me. My life now is completley different, Im just barely hanging onto a thread.

This same thread came up last year around the same time of year. From what I saw it ended up with a decent turnout. It will come around.

Chris, I am thinking we should get the old snail mailing lists for the NESHOC club from Mike H., or Ed S., or Steve R.

Chris, they were emailed from my work account. 2 PDF attachments.
Did you get any kind of confirmation from Don that he got them?

That may have been a little too high-tech for him.

Not a bad idea. I was also thinking about handing everyone who goes to the Auto-X's in May a flyer.

I know Kirk has been talking to Ed about some NESHOC website stuff this week, I'll have him mention getting the mailing list.

Myself and Mel have emailed him. I have gotten no response. Mel got a respnose but only in reference to the driver/car info form not being available.

Says right on the form, 3rd line:

"Fax to 309-444-4795 or email to: [email protected]."

I don't have a SHO anymore. Just because I am running 225/50 16 Yokohama Avid V4s' on my Venture doesn't make me ready for track day...lol.

I just can't justify spending the money to my wife when I don't even own the car any more.

Then I guess we won't be seeing you on this forum anymore, then...

Awww Jim, this saddens me, and you call yourself a GM owner. If I have to go buy an SHO today to be able to stay on this forum with such wonderful people then I shall leave the house now.:p

You missed my point. My point is, it's more a social event than a car event. You don't need a SHO and you don't need to pay big money. Pay the monies to register and check a box for the Thursday banquet. Hang out all week or parts of the week. And attend the always entertaining banquet...

Did youz guyz mail or fax them in?

The list I have was current as of Monday afternoon.

Do you have me on that list?
I also sent mine to Don via email shortly after form was avail. and asked for a confirmation he got it and that it all worked okay, but never got a reply back. Also paid w/paypal, which would have given him notification that way and didn't get an email or call wondering why their was no reg. form or anything, so I figured he must of got it all okay?

My forms will be in next week, is it possible to sign up for the road course after I turn in the forms, or do I have to commit to the road course when i send in the forms.

:thankyou: Since the subject came up I just wanted to make sure. :woo-hoo:

I mean, WHAT, I'm NOT #1, unbelievable. That's it, I'm out! :laugh_ti: J/K! , J/K ! Never thought their was a chance for #1, figure their needs to be a bribe or something for that. Did anyone even have #1 on their car last year? Can't remember seeing it. Was just hoping for a single digit, a little easier to get centered straight on the windshield.
