How do you go about Pulling the Codes

I recently got my first SHO and i know very little about them, as far as pulling codes is it just like a regular car plug the machine under the dash and do it that way?

not quite... youre thinking of OBD-II our cars, and most cars 1995 and older if they have an onboard computer are OBD-I they went to OBD-II so that cars had a universal plug and you only needed one machine to run codes...


that being said, most OBD-I cars can have thier codes checked manually... here is how fords do it.
