Hello! I just bought my '89 SHO on Sunday, this is the fourth Taurus I've owned but my first SHO.

My factory radio was nearly blown, so I tried wiring up a Sony Xplod that I had lying around the house to the SHO. I got the Circuit City harness, but it appears that only one of the plugs actually plugs into the car. The other one has the speaker outs and doesn't seem to have a match. The thing is, I should at least get power...but I don't. I've checked the wiring diagrams and the faq and can't find a solution. I do have the premium sound system, if that matters.

Has anyone come across this problem? I have a saudering iron, but I can't locate the wires I need to sauder! And even if I could...why wouldn't I be getting power? I'm sorry if this topic has been covered before, I did do a search. Has anyone else come across this situation before? Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance for any help anyone may be able to offer.

call the Sony Tech Help. when i went to install the LX600 in my truck, i had power but no sound. when i called Sony, they informed me to wire 2 wires on the same plug, though i dont recall which 2 wires exactly.
