How do I test for a bad DIS?

I searched the "How do I ..." section (as someone suggested) with various search terms for how to test for a bad DIS module, but couldn't find anything.

Is a procedure spelled out somewhere on how to test for a bad DIS?

To the best of my knowledge, [you] can't test it without the proper test equipment.

Advance, AutoZone, O'Reilly's and other parts store can test them (as well as most Ignition Control Modules). Call ahead to make sure the store has the ability to test the SHO DIS. Several stores that I have taken DIS modules to were not able to test them, as they were missing the testing instructions.

The 3.8L Super Coupe ignition is a DIS system and uses the same DIS module as the SHO. You can find some tests for the module HERE.

Is this taken from the Thunderbird Service Manual, or Ford's technical manual on the DIS system?

Is this taken from the Thunderbird Service Manual, or Ford's technical manual on the DIS system?

I found it online a few years ago, and so I'm not sure exactly where it's from. It looks to me like the pinpoint tests out of a Ford Service Manual though.

I did take some time to go through it and compare the SC DIS against the SHO DIS, and they are identical.
