I've been out of the online SHO world for a handful of years....

I'm in the process of assembling the parts I need for a turbo build. I have a tentative deal on a local 3.2 and turbo. The problem is his custom built hot pipes apparently wont work on mine... something about it being built for a ABSless 89.

From the reading I've done the last little while it appears, that Toolman's hotpipes are the prefrerred option, but these are proving hard to track down. I was all excited when I found Hot pipes on NESHO...until I realized they were for 2010's.

So my question is, does any other manufacturer make Hot Pipes and has anybody had success with them?

There isn't really a 'manufacturer' that makes the hot pipes. It is best, if you have experience welding or know somebody that can, to have your own made. It is really not all that bad.

So then are these toolman hotpipes only made occasionally in batches...or has production ended?

i dont think you will see anymore of tims pipes was kind of a one time thing.
he made up and down pipes in 2 different times.

very nice quality pipes.

maybe you could get some info on them off him.

Are you still in Edmonton dude? If so, give me a call and we can work something out. I've got the tools+skills to make hotpipes, and I helped Mitch a bit with his too.

Five eight seven, seven zero eight, zero two four seven.

buy your pipes and Y here, buy flanges for your turbo from amazon or ebay
http://www.mandrel-bends.com/catalog/
take the car to an exhaust or racing shop and tell them where to put the turbo.

alternatively you could buy a cheap 110v welder and a cut/weld the pipes yourself.

shipping to canada would suck and I'm not sure if I want to let my set of Toolman hot pipes go...

Ditto, hehe.

The poor college student in me says yes. The car guy in me screams no!
I figure im almost done with school, then the madness will begin.

If you do find someone that still has em, that would be an easy way to go. If not you could piece together your own pipes. May not be the prettiest but it would get the job done.

Or see if one of the 10 turbo SHO guys in Dallas would build you a set.

how would that help him since he is in canada?

why be facetious, dont be mad because you are not original or unique. Be happy with what you have....

Being original or unique isn't what he cares about. He's just calling you out for a liar... We all are.

since you derailed his thread, ill add to it by saying I dont care what you think. What you think does not change the fact that there are more turbo sho's running around than the few that are on this forum.
