AutoZone.com has got a diagram of the latch/cable assembly.

I was looking at mine{with the hood up}. Maybe go in thru the grill with a coat hanger. Good luck.

BTW where did it break?

Right where I was cutting to make room for my project:nut: !!! Behind the airbox. I must have weakened it, becuase I've used it a couple of times before. Got it open, so I left some cable hanging down until I get a new one.

Mental note: Earth to *******....look behind where you are cutting.

mine broke a couple of years ago due to the extremely cold weather we were having...

Let me tell you....for a simple cable, there is a TON of stuff that has to be removed....

I know this. I had my hood latch smoothed over and I removed all the cable and the hood release handle. Had to pull the freaking whole ebrake foot assembly out and then pull all of it through the plug on the inner fender.

Right now, I have a "pull cord" rigged until I get another cable and have time to tear it apart. First my endlinks break, than the swaybar bracket bolt snaps, then when I get the swaybar (26mm)put back together, I go to open the hood and SNAP! Oh well, that's SHO ownership......ENJOY!
