Hood prop rods...where did you get 'em?

Well I am running the $12 strut tower brace from a Buick Regal and had to scrap the hydraulic hood lifts. I went to autozone to see if they had a plain ol iron prop rod and all they had were more hydraulic ones. I know most of the strut tower braces come with them, but if you didn't get one..where do you find them? Thanks.

Local hardware store, gardening section. Got one of those posts you hang chicken wire from. It's already painted green to match the car! $1.79

Tempo's have prop rods and they attach with one bolt. Grab the plastic retainer clip too so the rod stays put when the hood is closed.

94 mitsubishi eclipse fits perfect no modifications, perfect fit especially if you have a fiberglass cowl hood like i do. i will send pics of the rod down and propped up. also what year regal did the brace come from? where can i get one? did it mount easily? any mods needed to make it work?

Jeff Noel at [email protected] makes brackets so that you can move the hydaulic struts over to the fender so that you dont have to resort to the dinousaur hood rod when adding a strut tower brace. Price for brackets is $20.00 including shipping.
