I just installed some new speakers up front and I'm getting a really high pitch wine. I know it is engine noise because it goes along with my RPM's. Also it goes with the music, music get quieter (ie changing songs) and I can barely hear the wine. Anyone know how to fix this?

pull your radio and check to see if any wires are near your antenna lead. Segregating the radio harness and antenna lead can greatly improve the sound quality. Also check the wiring to the speakers and make sure they aren't close to any power wires, since you will pick up that engine interference.

Guess I should have put this in the troubleshooting section. O well, thanks, I'll check everything out.

I would double check all grounds. Thats where most of the negative feedback comes from. Are you running a aftermarket amp ???

I read something about it in the SHO Club magazine. It could be interferance from the fuel pump. You can buy a static filter on the radio to fix that.

Or it only does it on AM and does it with the car off too. I don't know what to do about that, mine does this.
