Alright, this is on a VW forum I used to go to when I had my 97 Jetta VR6.

I remember someone here saying that someone else had added HID Projectors to the stock headlamps.

It is a lot of work but seems like it would be worth it. I know we don't have any clear lenses but at least it would be better than the HID kits without projectors.

GeekSHO has them mounted into the lenses on his Gen I.

You can get clean lenses made if you want to pay the money for it. I have actually looked into it and plan on doing it but I plan on doing a lot of things.

That is a great "how-to" but I cant help thinking that it is not for me. I think it would be easier to build one of those ships in a bottle.

You can get GTS clear lens covers through SHO Source, or through other websites. That's what I installed to protect my HIDs. They just fit over the factory lens.
