Has anyone ever replaced their HID bulbs? I have a rental MKz while I'm getting my transmission replaced in my SHO and I noticed that the MKz is by far better as far as light output with the HID bulbs compared to mine. Also, what are people doing to increase the light output of the cars? I'm not overly impressed with the light that I get from the SHO and would like to increase that...

I've replaced the hids on my sho. Does your sho have hid's factory? If it's a USA sho it should, only Canada SHO's didn't have them. I think the light output is pretty decent. I have the oem osram 4300k bulbs. I've swapped 6k into them before but it was too blue. I never even use my high beams because the low beams are so good. Are your lights properly aimed? If they were removed for something, they may be pointed too low or high. Just thinking of what could be wrong if there is. You could always pull out one of the bulbs and make sure that it is Osram. If you bought the car used someone might have put ebay quality bulbs in it.

If I would start to slow down as if I was approaching a light, then the light would change, I would barely apply throttle and it would have a VIOLENT downshift.... like we're talking it was almost like I hit a car kind of bad... I took it too the dealership, they replaced some parts, I got it back and then when starting it in the morning, I would put it into reverse, back out of the garage, put it into drive, it would rev, then slam into drive.... so now they are replacing the transmission...
