The provided link provides no relevent info, it just links to the pages for the halfshafts, CV boots, etc..... What is the listed part number and application you looked up?

What's an "elusive center bearing"? I've been around a long time and have never heard of such an item.

Judging by the 206f I would say that the bearing # is a 6206z2 Although fits idlers pulleys in GM cars and trucks, and my truck too its not the one for our Idler pulleys if thats what your looking for.

The center support bearing is pressed into the bracket in the earlier picture. Until you remove the old bearing from the bracket, you cannot very well compare the two. I'd say a 30mm ID looks about right. Hey, it's just a bearing. Somebody makes it.

Well, I was going to do my halfshafts when I pull this motor so maybe I'll take it down there and check it out. Not that it has any wear, but it was something I was told I couldnt find. Looking at the bracket tho, I bet there are a lot of bearings that ''could'' fit in there. Im just not much for fab work.

In my kind of work bearing assemblies turn up expensive or obsolete but almost all the time if you can remove the bearing you can get a replacement. Just take to a good autoparts like NAPA. They can usually measure or use the numbers off it crossover. Never seen that part. Can it be actually took apart to that point? That would be big question. Maurice

It's never the bearing that fails on the center supports. It's the rubber insulator that gives way.
