How is everyone doin. I do not own a SHO but have been kinda interested in them for some reason lol. I was never a fan of a taurus to begin with but for some reason, the SHO has gained my interest and now with prices in the affordable range, it seems like it possibly could just become reality of owning one. I drive a corolla at the moment which I love but a local guy was selling his SHO and i started doing some research. The guy has it for $4000 obo. It has all the maintenance done to it and he has all the paperwork. The thing is mint, with original motor and trans. It has 80k miles and is green in color. What should I be lookin for when I go check it out? Heres what he has in his listing:

-Dark green with tan leather interior
-5spd transmission
-Sunroof
-Premium JBL sound package (subwoofer and CD player)
-Aftermarket speakers and subwoofer in stock locations
-Originally a California car, bought off of original owner in July 2010
-Recent tune-up (plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter, etc.)
-New struts & springs (front and rear)
-Updated front brakes to 96-99 SHO (11.6" vs 10.5")
-New brakes (front and rear)
-Newer tires (front and rear)
-New radiator & waterpump
-New Windshield
-New antenna mast
-Few 'tasteful' performance modifications
-ALL paperwork will come with the car (from original owner and myself since day 1)

Also can these things be slammed? I hate that front wheel gap compared to the rear. Has anyone here slammed these? Any input would be helpful

A quick pic of the car

way too much for that car.....2000$ is a reasonable price for that considering only because of the miles...

well 2 might be a lil too harsh. Yes it is in perfect condition, and knowing its rarity, i would say 3 would be good, since one in excellent condition with mileage goes for 3400

You good with a wrench? Purchase price is only the down payment. If you get it, keep the Toyota to use for parts runs.

Find me a car that nice for 2,000 Dollars. A 2nd owner, Well maintained, Well Documented SHO with less then 100,000 Miles is certainly more then a 2,000 Dollar car.

so guys, i went to check the car out today. Fairly clean, except for a lil surface rust on one of the rear fender flare. The guy told me the whole history of the car and showed me all the paperwork. Basically whatever needs to be done was done. Interior was nice also with a lil wear in the leather seats. Had a bunch of performance goodies also, exhaust, K&N air filter and a few other things done. Said was chipped also. So probably made over 250 at the crank. The gears were tough, would feel kinda hard but compared to a corolla transmission, im sure any car would seem like hard work lol. He did say that he was gonna change the transmission fluid but didnt have the chance to yet. But even with all the maintenance done, im still lookin at shellin out more $$$ which i guess at the moment i dont have (gas mileage, insurance, maintenance, etc..). I def felt the weight of the car and talk bout body roll. Came around a corner in second, floored it and the fronts lit up. I was kinda damp also so most likely that was the reason. He said they chirp in 3rd also but I never gave it a try since I was still getting used to the gearbox and clutch. I think overall it was a nice car but i dunno, this could possibly be somethin I might want in the future but not at the moment. Oh and he did say hed like to get $3500 for it so if anyone is interested, pm me and I can let him know. Location is Michigan.

Probably not. You need more than exhaust/K&N/chip to get there. Do you know exactly what mods it has?
