My 91 plus seems to have a slight hesitation. It doesn't seem to hesitate when i'm driving, but if i'm at a light with the clutch in, and give it a little shot of gas there is a hesitation then it revs up. I don't know where to start looking for the problem, spark plugs, fuel filter, or what.
Any suggestions?
thanks Kevin

Hesitation like that is usually caused by plugs and/or wires. If yours have a lot of mileage on them it's a good idea to replace them anyways.

The hesitation you refer to could be caused by many things. I would start with the basics and work from there. Throttle body cleaning has become a necessary service on most vehicles. Make sure the engine is getting up to temperature quickly and clean spark plugs and wires are important. If your not sure how long the spark plugs have been in use, change them. If all else fails, check codes for clues.

The car not getting up to temperature could be a start to my problem, because the car gets just above the blue mark on the gauge. The car has 150000km, not too many kms but if they are the factory wires... I remember when I bought the car the guy told me he had the plugs changed just before he sold it, but I can't remember if he said the wires too.
thanks.

I would check the plugs anyway. I had a reciept showing the plugs had just been changed a week before I bought my SHO and they did change the front 3 plugs (with the wrong plugs) but the back 3 look like they had about 100k miles on them ( they had about a .090 gap eek! ).
Check the plugs, wires (and look for oil in the plug wells), look for vacumme leaks, and changw the fuel filter. You proble sould clear up with those things done.
