Hopefully you guys can help me figure this out. I have had my car now for 3 days and last night while diving into work I noticed that the car looses power every once in a while. No rhyme or reason. The only time I don't notice it is when I down shift. It doesn't happen often but when it does the rpms drop from 3000 to 500 and that was on the highway. Around town it happens but not often. NOt often but often enough to notice. I thought of a couple things but I have checked them off already. Miss fire of spark plug. Would happen more often especially when getting on it or backing off. oil in plug wells , doesn't happen enough to be this. Had that happen before. dis module new only 1 yr old. Granted car sat for 2 yrs but doesn't act like it. What I think it might be is I had my mechanic put my battery in the trunk with a battery relocation kit. he had to crink the wire in some places and this is what I think it is.
I'm checking now. but If anyone has differnet ideas please let me know. It happens no matter if the car is going fast or slow. Has to have something to do with the charge . Also alternator is 2 yrs old but it sat a while .

HELP!!!!!!

use 93 octain Fule only.......this will help alot.....the persone that had the SHO before me used regular fuel only and there was hesitation below 3000 rpms...after 3-4 full tanks of premium fuel....the hesitation stoped..and i had more power.....I prefer using only Amoco-BP fuels only....its the best gas.

My car runs perfectly on 87 octane.

If youre getting hesitation i'm thinking it's not the gas, spark plugs maybe but not the gas, run some gas cleaner every now and then with a tank full of gas.

Could be your fuel filter is dirty and needs replacing.

Check your codes, check for vaccum leaks on the intake.
