I've delt with this for long enough....
problem:
@ highway speeds anywhere from 60-75 in 5th gear, if i go 1/2 to 3/4 throttle, to say pass someone, i get a mometary bog of the motor, it only happens for a split second.... and it does that 4-5 times before stopping and pulling normally.... almost like a studder....

It has been an issue for awhile now, but really hasnt bothered me to bad... but tonight i had the last of it... it gets really annoying.... let alone i dought it is good for the motor.... Also A/F goes crazy when this is happening, but i think that is just an after effect of what is happening though.

I have been told that it was the IAC or IAB valve whichever you prefer....
and i have also heard of it being the TPS sensor...
I have cleaned the IAC/IABV to no avail.... however i have yet to swap in a new TPS...

I know this has been disscused before, but for some reason i couldnt find that thread... maybe i was using the wrong search words...
A point in the right direction and i would be much abliged....
TIA.

tps could def be culprit. no codes? maybe plugs or wires, but my moneys on the tps. check for codes though first. that could solve it. might still need replacing either way though.

I used a DVOM to test my TPS. I slowly moved the throttle from idle to WOT, with the key on engine not rinning. I found a "flat spot" where I could move the throttle a little bit, and the voltage didn't change. Replaced the TPS with the Windstar verson, and all is well. :thumb:

Why the Windstar version? Increased reliabilty or something?

FWIW, the Windstar TPS has the same base part # as the SHO (9B989). That particular TPS is shared across many applications, in fact.

Regarding the bogging @ 1/2 to 3/4 throttle, has there been a fuel pressure check done? What's the status of the fuel filter? Also, have you tried cleaning the MAF?
