Well i was drivin my SHO and i was in 5th around 65 or so.. then my check engine light started flashing, then my Tach just starts going really high then back down, but it wasent accelerating just the tach was bouncing. then the check engine light will turn off then about 10 or minutes later it does it again... anybody know what this could be please help...... :confused:

well i crawled under my car last night and saw that i had a little bit of Oil coming outa my front Main seal, maybe that is throwing the balancer off making my RPMS crazy??

id bet on the vss....but i dont know if manuals have those....i know my atx does, and thats what happens when it STARTS to go out

Of course the MTX has a VSS. It's located at the base of the speedo cable.

Without your codes, you might as well fart into a hurricane.

Get the codes.

It also is not the CPS. When it fails, the RPMs drop and the engine stops running, perhaps momentarily, perhaps for a lot longer.

:frown: Sorry I posted the wrong info. Yes the MTX does have a VSS. As noted, it plugs into the spedo cable. I would have tried to fix my post, but I actually had to go back to work (go figure).
