I used the ss braided lines for the caliper upgrade. I assume you are using the oem ones? Is there a metal bracket or ****** that is preventing a good fit? If so you can probably grind it off. As long as the hose end and banjo bolt form a good seal at the caliper it should be fine.

I'm with Lou -- I've only seen them used with stainless lines, not the factory rubber lines, and from memory the last time I installed stainless lines they did have smaller "blocks".

I have installed 13" Cobras with stock brake lines once. You will need to file the block a bit on the brake line to get plenty of clearance so it seals well. That will get you going, but I also recommend SS lines since our cars are getting old.

I recently purchased 2 new rear rubber brake lines and they were $35 each so the braided would have been a better buy IMO.

Either way, do yourself a favor and get new washers for a proper seal at the caliper.

Wait do i need a new banjo bolt for this?
The Cobra calipers have a different banjo bolt than the Taurus, so if you didn't get any with the Cobra calipers you'll need new ones. It's an oddball thread pitch too, so nobody usually carries them -- BTDT. Even Ford had trouble looking them up, and we ended up scrounging some from a friend.

Save your time, NAPA won't have them. That Breeze place is out by Worcester someplace IIRC.
