Anyone have a cheep solution to the problem in the following picture?
I was thinking I could just get a clamp-on ****** at my local AutoZone and cut the flare off the pipe and then clamp the new one on, but apearantly they downsized their stock in exhaust parts.

Anyone know a parts chain that sells the apropriate ****** and Spring Bolts?

they have just what you need at autozone...i had the same problem....it goes right over flare..you dont have to cut it...actually if you do it wont work.....and it just bolts up with new bolts that come with it to the ****** on the otherside....the fix is less than 10 bucks :)

My local AZ has a bunch of ID10T's working at it, they just said "Nope dont have anything" not even the spring/bolt kits in the help section anymore.

Alright, thanks for looking, apon my searching I belive its called a Split ******, and there seems to be all sorts or variations in them.
I found them here for example, and will be looking for one locally today. Thanks again.

Get a flex pipe.
Ideally I would, but the price is prohibiting it.

I found this at a local independent chain, but AZ should be able to get it. It's an official 'taurus' repair kit

And to both of the quotes, how is it holding up? I just fear it will rot off eventually too.

I bought the split ****** repair kit from NAPA a couple of years ago. It's OK as long as the bell on the end of the pipe is not eroded. Cost over $40. On eBay you can get the flex pipes for under $25 IIRC. JC Whitney also has them pretty cheap.

I ended up rigging it for now, the repair kit would not work, the flare was erroded as SHOZ123 mentioned.

For a temp fix, I just replaced the ****** Seal (Donut) $5, and bought a $5 Split ****** that was smaller.
The Split ****** was a stacked plate type and the package said it would fit pipes 2"-2.25".
This fix uses only the bolts included with the Split ****** , I did not use the normal Spring-Bolts.

The Split ****** was from AutoZone, and the ****** Seal was from an independent parts shop.

Funds became available for a cat-back, and I will be going that route as my mufflers are rotted too.
