Hey guys, well, my A pillar pod finally came and I cant wait to get it all done. Now, here's the thing, my dad's helping me install it, and so far we have all the gauges set in the pod, but we are not sure where to run the wires through once the pod is on. Do you have to drill a hole through the firewall?? If anyone could give me a detailed message on where to run the wires, and how to hide them correctly, that would be great. And if it helps at all, the gauges are AF, vaccuum, and, volts. Thanks so much,
Chuck

Look right next to where the steering shaft passes through the firewall. I drilled a new hole to the right of this. I first used a small drill bit for a pilot hole, then used a 3/4" hole saw bit. You can use one of those tapered uni-bits. I didn't use one because I knew that with the guages I planned to install, the 1/2" maximum hole size from the uni-bit wouldn't be sufficient. Make sure to put a rubber grommet or a small section of rubber hose in the hole. You wouldn't want the nice sharp edges to cut through your new wires/hoses. If you use a rubber hose, find a snug size, so that it doesn't fall out. If you go with the 1/2" hole, you would probably want to use use a 1/4" inner diameter hose(the thickness of the hose will make up the 1/4").

To hide all of these wires, take your time with some small wire ties. Try and tuck them under the dash as best as possible. I usually route them with existing wire bundles.

And make sure you tap into the right wires on the PCM(EEC) for that air/fuel gauge.

Anybody know what cpu the 93 MTX's have? If it's the same as the 95's cd57078, I have a wiring diagram for the EEC.

Hey thanks for all the help. As far as the CPU goes, all I know is that the 93 mtx's like mine all have the x2j computer. Im not sure if the 95's are the same.

Right under the weather stripping/rubber moulding that meets the dash where the door jam is. I tucked the wires under there, until I got to where the e-brake release is. Then I just stuffed them under the dash and began the cable tying them up out of place. I also have the X2J cpu in my car. The correct pins are- #43 Dark Blue wire with a light green stripe(which is for the front bank of cylinders), and #29 Red wire with a black stripe(which is the rear bank of cylinders). When you are looking the the side of the ECU that faces the battery, the pins are counted like this- the uppermost right hand pin, is pin #1. and the lowermost left hand pin is, is pin #60. If you were to look at the harness from the side that faces the cabin, number #1 pin is at the top left, and vice versa for #60. I would also reccomend soldering these wires to the ECU, and then using heat shrink or electrical tape to cover the bare wires. If you would like more specific instructions email me.
