In the KOEO, I got
14- PIP circuit failure
19- CID circuit failure
24- ACT sensor out of self-test range

In KOER, I got
24- ACT sensor out of self-test range
41- HEGO either gone bad or detecting lean condition

So what all is bad here? I don't know what, if anything, I need to replace but I do wanna get rid of the check engine light.

the PIP is your crank sensor, when was the 60k done? (if it was done at all) was it replaced? the ACT sensor is easy, which is probably causing your lean condition. that is just a 5 minute fix, but if you have to do the crank sensor prepare yourself for a nice 60k treat. sorry bro. are you having any trouble with stalling or anything? cuz if your CPS (crank sensor) is going then ive read alot that you get intermittent stalling/engine dying while driving. you should also check to make sure the bolts on your crossover tube are making good contact, i was getting that error once but it was because i didnt have *any* bolts in my crossover tube

eek! I am trying to put off the 60k until I graduate (and get a $job$). I don't think I could afford the $500 or so right now oh_my
A couple months ago I had stalling problems for one day but it has been fine ever since. It just kind of went away. I am having hesitation problems lately though.

well, the hesitation could be a number of things, try cleaning your IAB, but if you had stalling problems that went away on their own it doesnt sound good, but you might get away with it, who knows. i know what youre saying about the money part, im still part time student working on my masters and part time working. at least clean the IAB and change your ACT sensor, it could be as simple as that, since one failing sensor does cause a domino effect sometimes. just let us know what happens so in case someone else has the same problem they can check it out.

myothercarisamustang,

First, take a deep breath, calm down, and get off the panic button. Go to the library and dig up a service manual on you model year, such as Chiltons, Mitchels, Motors, etc.

Go to the electrical wireing section and find all the connections to the sensors you mentioned, and the sensors themselves.

Disconnect and reconnect the sensors and the connections between the sensor and the 60 pin connector on the firewall (passenger side of the car). Do this carefully and do not bend any of the "pins" in the connections.

With all those codes, at one time, it is likely you have a bad connection that is common to those sensors. Try this first.

Also check all of your "grounds". If you do not know where they are, read the manual and look at the wireing diagrams. The grounds need to be clean and making good contact, just like the wire connections.

After you have done this, clear the codes and try checking them again. If they come back, we'll go from there. See Mikeys SHO's post re checking the codes. Get back to us. rangerj

FWIW, some stored codes are kept in memory for either 40 or 80 drive cycles (depends on EEC firmware).

Best to just clear them and test from a clean slate.

Right on. I will try pulling the codes after I clear it. I panic easily because a) I'm broke. and b) I want to do replace the main bearings (if needed) and do a lot of powdercoating when I do the 60k, so I am trying to put the 60k off until I have plenty of money saved (and a real job).

Rangerj is correct. The chance of the CID and CPS sensors failing at the same time are slim. These codes can also be generated by the bad ground to the DIS module as rangerj suggested. Check the ground path to the DIS module: ground strap to the upper bolt on the passenger side, rear intake manifold bracket, the two 12mm bolts that secure the intake's crossover tube to the front and rear plenums and the four bolts that secure the DIS to the crossover tube. This can also be caused by a loose connector on the DIS module.

The ACT (air charge temperature) sensor in the air filter box could be the cause of the hesitation. As suggested previously, checking the connections may be the first path to take. Also take a quick look at the red-tipped sensor to see if it is still intact.

Sorry to hear about the bad luck at this time.
